Sticky Sweet & Sour Chicken Wings

Wing Ingredients:

21 Full Chicken Wings

2 cups whole wheat cake flour

2 tablespoons baking powder

5 Tablespoons dried Oregano

4 Tablespoons Paprika

10 Tablespoons 6 Gun Seasoning

Sun flower oil for deep frying – about 3 cups

Sauce Ingredients:

2 Cups Spur Steak Ranches Sweet & Sticky Marinade

4 Tablespoons Garlic powder

3 Tablespoons light Soy sauce

2 Tablespoons Honey

3 Tablespoons Teriyaki sauce

2 Tablespoons dried oregano

1 teaspoon dried Cayenne Pepper Flakes

2 Tablespoons 6 Gun Seasoning

1 Tablespoon Lemon juice

125ml Water

Wings Method:

  1. Rinse and clean the wings and roughly dry them with a clean, dry towel.
  2. Heat the oil in a medium sized pot on medium heat.
  3. Mix the flour, spices and herb in a bowl.
  4. Coat the wings in the seasoned flour mixture, lightly shake the wing to shake off excess flour before frying.
  5. Fry the wings in the oil (confirm the oil is heated up properly first) until crispy and golden brown.
  6. Place the wings in a bowl lined with paper towel to absorb excess oil.
  7. Put the wings in a bowl, where you will lightly coat them in the sauce.

Sauce Method:

  1. Place all the ingredients in a pot, on medium-low heat.
  2. Cook the sauce for about 15 minutes.
  3. Pour the sauce, while hot, over the wings.
  4. Toss the wings to cover all of them.
  5. Serve.
