The Farming Cook

II am a young lady from Mafikeng, NW South Africa who developed a love for growing food and cooking at a young age. Starting with growing crops in my backyard, I became passionate about organic food production. This led me to focus on creating healthy, delicious dishes and pursue Food and Nutrition academically. 

I have a growing passion for producing food and creating wholesome dishes, hence my slogan “good farming, great flavor”. It is through growing crops that I learned the taste of affected is greatly affected by how food is grown. If food is produced better, it tastes better. This is one of the platforms where I share my food passion and aim to showcase who food is part of self love, self care, and plays an important role medicinally in helping our bodies to heal and carry us well.

While I cannot grow everything, I work with farmers who are passionate about crop and animal production and I can still develop my food passion through creating great dishes that are specifically aimed at encouraging people to eat more vegetables, and further work with those with dietary requirements for their lifestyles and health.
