This is a almost hot-chocolate tasting oatmeal according to my 7 year old who ate it very quickly without the constant nudging to finish her food. It got a thumbs up from her!
Ingredients:
750ml Boiling Water
1 teaspoon Salt
1 teaspoon ground Nutmeg
2 teaspoons ground Cinnamon
1 teaspoon Crude Black Molasses
4 teaspoons + 1 tablespoon honey
1 tablespoon Cocoa powder
500ml oats
125ml full cream milk
Honey to drizzle
Method:
1. Add the water to a pot and switch the stove to medium heat.
2. Add the salt, nutmeg, cinnamon, molasses and honey. Cook for 5 minutes.
3. Add the oats and cook for 6 to 7 minutes.
4. Add the milk and cook for 3 minutes or until the oats starts to thicken.
Serve with milk and a drizzle of honey.
