Turkey and Cabbage Stew

Ingredients:

Turkey Seasoning:

1kg turkey pieces

1tbs Robertson’s Chicken Spice

2tsp Paprika

2tbs Shisanyama Barbecue Spice

1tsp Mixed, dried herbs

3 Tbs Oil for frying

Stew:

1 Medium Onion, finely diced

1tsp Paprika

1tsp Shisanyama Barbecue Spice

1 1/2tsp Roberton’s Chicken Spice

1/2tsp Dried, Mixed Herbs

5c White Cabbage

1/2 Red and Green Bell Peppers Diced

1c Diced tomatoes in their juice

Fried turkey meat

1/4c Water

Method:

1. Season the turkey with the listed spices.

2. Pour the oil in the pan and turn your stove to medium high.

3. Brown the turkey on both sides. Remove the turkey from the pan. Turn the heat down to medium.

4. Sautรฉ the onions and spices for 5 minutes.

5. Add the cabbage and bell peppers. Cook for 7 minutes, stirring regularly.

6. Add the tomatoes and cook for 5 minutes.

7. Place the turkey ontop of the vegetables and cover for 10 minutes.

8. Add the water and cover. Let the stew simmer for 7 minutes. The turkey is ready to serve.
